Boston Fire says Kenmore Square is gridlock after hazmat response

The Boston Fire Department is on the scene of a reported hazardous material response on Beacon Street near Kenmore Square.

According to Boston University Police people are asked to avoid the area for the time being while an investigation is ongoing.

According to the Boston Fire Department the substance is believed to be a leaking bottle of hydrochloric acid on a FedEx truck.

There are no injuries reported by commuters are advised to avoid the area due to heavy congestion.
