Hazmat situation shuts down part of Bee Creek Road – Texas

According to Fox7:

 – First responders are on scene of a rollover commercial vehicle that may contain large amounts of propane and be leaking onto the roadway. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, units were called to the 4220 block of Bee Creek Road on Wednesday, January 2 around 2 p.m. for a hazmat situation. When first responders arrived on scene they discovered a commercial vehicle that was involved in a rollover accident.

The driver of the commercial vehicle was transported to Baylor Scott & White Lakeway. It is unclear at this time how serious the injuries are or if there were any other vehicles involved.

The commercial vehicle was reportedly leaking large amounts of propane but has been stopped.

Drivers are still being asked to avoid the area. Units with the Pedernales Fire Department, Lake Travis Fire Rescue, and the Austin Fire Department are also on scene and assisting, according to ATCEMS.
