Residential Structure Fire Injures 3, “Propane Explosion” Under Investigation 


VERNON, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) A mother and her two children were taken to Upstate University Hospital after their trailer park exploded and caught on fire, according to the Vernon Center Fire Department.

The Vernon Center Fire Chief tells NewsChannel 9 it happened just after 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the Quiet Valley Trailer Park.

Investigators believe a propane leak may have caused the explosion.

State and local authorities are looking into the exact cause.

Neighboring trailer homes were also damaged.
