Maryland-based start-up Cervitas Training Solutions offers hazmat response training, response consulting and operations drills. It has 10 hazmat-based courses.
Those courses cover chemical and biological warfare agents, incident planning and response, gas emergencies, air monitoring, fentanyl, OSHA and decon.
The company’s name, Cervitas, comes from two Latin words. Civitas means community; Inservio means I serve.
“When Cervitas began, we wanted to instill these same principles and help our customers better serve their communities. At Cervitas, we are passionate about helping people learn hazmat and make an impact. We pride ourselves in educating others in the industry’s best practices and help make our communities safer,” the company writes on its homepage.
