TACOMA, Wash. – Tacoma Fire Department crews have evacuated residents from 11 homes in Tacoma’s Hillsdale neighborhood for a gas leak.
Fire crews say a backhoe damaged a 4-inch natural gas line causing a leak in the area of South 54th St and A St Friday afternoon.
Two additional homes are sheltering in place.
The Puget Sound Energy Incident Response Team is on scene to fix the leak.
