According to the Minuteman News Center (10/21/15):
The Westport Fire Department responded to a report of a “gas leak†at a residence on Red Coat Road Saturday at 5:24 p.m..
Upon arrival, firefighters located an underground propane tank leaking gas adjacent to the driveway. Firefighters set up a precautionary hose line and metered the area.
The incident commander determined that additional resources would be needed and contacted the Fairfield County Hazmat team.
With the Hazmat teams assistance, firefighters and the Hazmat technicians were able to burn off the propane product that remained in the tank safely and without incident.
