The two organizations will collaborate on efforts to raise money and awareness to better equip firefighters with the skills and tools they need to live long, healthy lives.
Realizing symmetries in their missions, The Leary Firefighters Foundation and CRACKYL Media Inc. launched a partnership to improve the lives of firefighters. CRACKYL will use its reach into the fire service industry to promote The Leary Firefighters Foundation’s philanthropic activities through its publication and online outlets.
“Collaborating with The Leary Firefighters Foundation will amplify our shared objective of making a significant impact on firefighter health and wellness initiatives, while also bringing awareness to the acute needs of firefighters across North America,” said Kory Pearn, CRACKYL Magazine’s editor-in chief and CEO. “I am immensely proud to be teaming up with the Leary Firefighters Foundation in support of firefighters.”
CRACKYL is a lifestyle and health magazine for firefighters that helps them navigate the complex mental and physical demands of firefighting; it gives them the tools and resources to live healthy and happy lives both on and off the job.

The Leary Firefighters Foundation and CRACKYL are planning a significant fundraising initiative next spring to coincide with both the foundation’s annual training day with FDNY and with International Firefighters Day.
“My whole desire with the foundation is to make firefighters safe and to make sure they go home alive at night,” Denis Leary said.
